RICHARD RAW IS HOSTING FRINGE FESTIVAL DISCUSSION WITH FILMAKER JOHN EVANS AT THEATRE N ON FEBRUARY 22ND!!

Join Fringe Wilmington in welcoming film director, John Evans. Possibly best known for his feature film, The Black Godfather, Evans has directed 2 documentaries, 2 feature films and numerous commercials for clients such as Calvin Klein, ESPN, and Castrol among many others. Mr. Evans is currently in post production on an upcoming feature film with numerous projects in the wings. 

An Afternoon with John Evans will feature the documentary "Prelude to Revolution" at 2 p.m. including a talk with Mr. Evans followed by his 1978 feature film "Black Jack" at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available for purchase at www.fringede.org

On the first of two films, John Evans expertly captures the controlled fury of Huey Newton, leader of the Black Panther Organization. Evans guides Mr. Newton through the philosophy which drives and motivates them during an interview filmed inside the prison where Newton was being held.
