RICHARD RAW IS SET TO PERFORM AT THE 1ST PAN AFRICAN SYMPOSIUM IN BALTIMORE ON SEPTEMBER 14TH!!!9/9/2014 The purpose of the Pan-Afrikan day of Solidarity is to establish a day on which Afrikan people can congregate in a communitarian spirit to pay homage to African deities, revere African ancestors, honor African elders; and demonstrate a show of Pan-Afrikan Solidarity, by bringing together Afrikan people in the Diaspora and from the continent, to stand in Unison. Among other things, the Pan-Afrikan Day of Solidarity is about the celebration of Afrikan Family-hood, Afrikan History and Afrikan Culture. It’s about raising the social consciousness and deepening the political awareness of Afrikan people. In addition, this day is about networking with one another, promoting Afrikan unity and propagating Pan-Afrikanism. In short, the purpose of the Pan-Afrikan Day of Solidarity is to create a harmonious atmosphere wherein Afrikan people can commune in a celebratory spirit, to re-affirm the Afrikan personality. The Pan-African Symposium is not about entertainment; it is not just an event to make people feel good. Nor is it an information flaunting forum. The Pan-African Symposium is an extension of the Pan-African Day of Solidarity, which is a movement. At the core of the symposium is development and rectification. Therefore, The Pan-African Symposium is transformative in the sense that African people will be touched in ways that inspire productive change within the lives. Thus, the Pan-African Symposium will serve as an experience wherein healthy socialization is promoted and fostered. It will be a consciousness building experience! The 1st Annual Pan African Symposium feat. Dr. Booker T. Coleman, Oba T'shaka and Mwalimu Baruti!!! Suggested reading material this week: Afrikan-Centered Consciousness Versus The New World Order "Garveyism In The Age Of Globalism" by Amos N. Wilson Book Review from Greg D | Dr. Wilson’s delineation of the TRUE Black Nationalist is, alone, worth the price of the book. He frames his argument by first capturing the essence of the life and work of the great Afrikan redeemer, Hon. Marcus Garvey. Subsequently, he provides the global Afrikan community a “checklist” with which to judge the TRUE Afrikan Nationalist. One is thus armed with the tools to differentiate between Black leaders and “leading” Blacks. Purchase this book by clicking here We must never allow mediocrity to be our standard. When we have no standards, our lives become crowded with unrealistic expectations. One who lacks standards runs the risk of loosing themselves. When we develop standards, it allows us to be who we are and to know we are accepted on that basis. There is no reason for us to settle for less. RICHARD RAW IS THE NEW HOST OF "THE BLACK PERSPECTIVE" AIRING ON CHANNEL 28 BETWEEN 4:30 - 5:00 P.M. RICHARD RAW IS JOINED BY CO HOST SISTER QUEEN ISABELLA.

lyrics"Chorus" It's like something don't feel right, I know something don't feel right, It's like they got me confused, feeling depressed while I'm singing the blues I keep telling myself It's like something don't feel right, I know something don't feel right, And I don't know how to act, I'm feeling stressed while I'm watching my back I keep telling myself, telling myself Verse 1 My religion is love, it's no division with blood I'm changing my occupation, I am not who I was, I am a changed man, I altered the game plan, rejected the name brands they offer the same scams, they call it a deal, I'm calling it funny, you take about 80 and leave us with 20, you see us as money, you see us as dollars, you see us as numbers, I see us as scholars, I see us as surgeons, you see us as nurses, I see us as freedom fighters the way we penning these verses, life is like a circus I'm roaming without a purpose I'm feeling the chains of fighting generational curses, im predisposed to those who chose liquor but Richard Raw is an artist I'm painting a different picture, using blood as paint, please don't tell me I can't, I'm just being myself not trying to be what I ain't, "Chorus" Verse 2 So I, bottle my feelings up, then throw then in the ocean, hoping that they dissolve, then change into a potion, maybe in due time, somebody sees it floating, and feel their spiritually charged when the bottles is opened, cause the storm is approaching, I see the waves coming, I've been burning and lootin, I got my blood running, ain't no turning back, this is the last chance, I have been waiting all night, this is the last dance, this is the last night I'm taking my last flight I'm changing my ways trying to separate from my past life, I want to act right, they said in dead wrong, they say I'm too bold but I know I'm head strong, got to be who I am, can't be nobody else, used to do it for others but now I'm stuck on the shelf, tired if making others richer I'm stuck on the shelf, cause I have been tight for to long time to loosen my belt creditsfrom Spring Love [2014], released 30 May 2014 02.
