Richard Raw performs with The Sermon and Ms Sia, giving a sneak preview of his album release on November 21st at World Cafe Live!!!  

The Curators of Hip Hop present: The knowledge Tour 
This will be a Film Showcase as well as a Hip Hop performance event in Baltimore, MD at PEDX.  There will be performances by Corday, Organic Geniuses, Matt Reeves, Prie & Richard Raw.  
If you are in the area, this will be a great event.  The event runs from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on October 26th, 2013!!!   

Later that night On October 26th Richard Raw will be joining Reggae Band Brixton Saint for a set on the Halloween Loop at Kelly's Logan House in Wilmington Delaware.       

This was the first day in Headlinerz Studios recording for "Soul Sessions".   While in the recording studio i invited african drummers "Kham" and "Haru" to help lay the foundation for the album.   We worked on a song entitled "Believe In Yourself" which is an ode to "Fela Kuti" and "Afro beat" music.  "Believe In Yourself" was originally built from a sample, but after hearing the vibe of the drums we decided it was best to mute the sample and work with the natural drum elements.  The drum is the foundation of all music, especially Soul based music.  Bringing in the drums gave the making of this album a new energy, it caused me to turn to live instruments to drive the album.  

Soul Sessions will be released on November 29th, 2013!!!   Stay Tuned For Part 2 Next Thursday!
